Following our company's establishment in 1947, we introduced to the fine chemicals markets such well-received fumigants as Methy-Bron?, Kunofume?, and Cylon?, later adding our Fireguard? family of flame retardants to our product mix. In 1960, we industrialized polycarbonate resin production under our Panlite? trade name, becoming the first firm in Japan to commercially produce this leading edge material. Panlite? Sheet, Panlite? optical lenses and other secondary goods have since been introduced into our lineup.
Thanks to the patronage of you, our valued customers, Panlite? is now the market share leader in Japan, and our optical grade products have come to be highly regarded the world over. We owe much to the pioneering spirit and passion for customer service which have been so much a part of our company from the very beginning. These qualities remain driving forces today.
We continue to grow in line with our aim of being an industry leader in a global market. Just as we have increased our overseas sales staff and associates, we have added a production facility in Singapore in 1999, and in 2005 we have opened new production facility in China. Also, a resin compounding facility is operating in Shanghai. Our commitment to quality, safety and environmentally friendly practices is exemplified by the stringent demands associated with ISO 9001 and 14001 certification, which we have obtained as a matter of course.
From our company's founding, we have sought always to maintain a pioneering spirit and provide our customers with both high quality products and timely service.
